William Demas is a Senior Vice President in the Power, Utilities & Renewables group at Macquarie Capital, where he focuses on the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, storage, biomass, waste to energy and energy efficiency. William has been involved in renewable energy finance, as both an investor and advisor, for over a decade and has led or been involved in several of the most transformational transactions and investments in the space, totalling over $10 billion in transaction value.
Prior to Macquarie, William was a Vice President at Ewing Bemiss & Co., a boutique investment banking firm focused on the renewable energy and clean tech sectors. Prior to Ewing Bemiss, William was an investment professional at Good Energies, where he focused on venture capital and private equity investing in the same sectors. He began his career at Lazard, where he was originally part of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications group before helping establish the firm’s renewable energy practice. William graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in Economics.
